Track 2: Winsum to Groningen - 21 km / 19 Photos

Today I started tracking the trail from the trainstaion in Winsum.
In Groningen I stopped tracking at the corner of the the Folkingestraat and the Gedempte Zuiderdiep as that was about 50 meters from my hotel.

... and therefore in the early 17th century was replaced by the man made Rietdiep

Although I heard the sound of frogs in the many ditches along the track and through the farmlands I was not able to photograph any of them

The Van Starkenborgh canal is part of the busy ships route Amsterdam - Groningen

Since the fortress Groningen was no longer required the northern part of the fortification walls and canal was changed into a city park
