This afternoon I took the car to downtown Bartlesville, about 3 miles from the hotel. It was a hot and sunny day with a strong wind that felt warm.

Bartlesville has a bit of everything, old Mid West style buildings and high rises. The most famous skyscraper (20+ floors) was build by the architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Other high rises are the Town Hall (old and new) and several buildings owned by CononcoPhillips.

The old AT&SF railway depot is well maintained and used by the Bartlesville Chamber of Commerce. They also take care of tourist information and that is where I collected my map and many brochures.

I liked wooden de Johnstone & Keeler building but also the brick buildings of BancTrust and First Court.
