The first day in Egypt was to recover from the travel (we arrived in the hotel at 3 AM) and to get used to the temperature. It was still 25C in the middle of the night.

The Pyramids of Giza were just outside our Guest House and with my 2 fellow travelers I visited them in the morning. We walked around all 3 of them and had a view from the area where many tourist would make a ride on a Camel.

The afternoon we spend relaxing on the roof terrace where we viewed the hazy sunset and the light show that is performed every night.

After a good meal we went to bed soon as there was a long day travel to the Western Desert coming up.
